Hyper Bole 2015

We are proud to announce the return of the Hyper Bole, the largest youth poetry slam and festival in Virginia!  This year's event will be an individual competition, as opposed to last year's team slam.  The all-day event will be held on the campus of George Mason University on Saturday, January 31st, 2015.  Teenage poets from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia will come together to participate in a series of individual preliminary slams, workshops, and open mics that will culminate in the Grand Slam Finals Saturday evening, where one student will be crowned the 2015 Hyper Bole Champion.  The Grand Slam Finals will also feature world renowned spoken word artist, Joshua Bennett.   

For the first time ever, we are opening registration not only to schools with established poetry clubs, but to all high school poets.  The online registration will close at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16th, 2015.  There are a limited number of slots available, so please make sure to register early if you want to secure your spot in this amazing event.
