Hyper Bole 2018

We are proud to announce the return of the Hyper Bole, the largest individual youth poetry slam and festival in Virginia!   The all-day event will be held on the campus of George Mason University on Saturday, February 24th, 2018.  Teenage poets from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia will come together to participate in a series of individual preliminary slams, workshops, and open mics that will culminate in the Grand Slam Finals Saturday evening, where one student will be crowned the 2018 Hyper Bole Champion and awarded a $500 dollar prize!   

Like last year, registration is open to all high school poets who are interested in participating.  There are a limited number of slots available, so please make sure to register early if you want to secure your spot in this amazing event.  The online registration will close on Friday, February 16th at 6:00 p.m.
